The movie Shrek 2 is a family favorite in my household. Shrek is like a fairy tale, however, there isn't really a princess. So we can all agree on watching it and my brother and my dad don't have to be scared of loosing their manliness. Our family likes funny movies, so we like whenever somebody is clumsy in the movie.
This movie actually has a big moral behind it though. This movie shows that people should not judge by how things look. Fiona's parents judged Shrek and his influence on Fiona as soon as they stepped out of the onion carriage. This hurt Fiona deeply, let alone Shrek who decided he had to change his appearance to "fit in" with Fiona and her family.
This also shows how we should not change your appearance for other people. If they don't like you for who you are, they don't deserve you. This moral should be applied to every teenager who ever lived. Like many teens, Shrek gave into other people'a judgement of him and changed into someone who was not him at all.
Last but not least, this movie shows that sometimes, happily ever afters are not always what they are expected to be. This shows that once people grow up, it is important for them to realize that usually there isn't a Prince Charming waiting for you, it an ogre. However, the ogre will make you more happy and so it's important to do what makes you happy.
